If you rent a home managed by The Mindful Landlord, this is your place. We handle your lease, your maintenance, and your rent — and we keep you informed every step of the way.

What you can do as a TML tenant
- Pay rent online via ACH (free) or card from your tenant portal
- Set up autopay so you never miss a due date
- Submit maintenance requests with photos, available 24/7
- Track the status of any open work order
- Receive automated reminders before rent is due
- Get text confirmations when payments are received
- Coordinate directly with dispatched service vendors via text
How we communicate with you
The Mindful Landlord uses email, phone calls, and SMS/MMS text messages to keep you informed about your tenancy. Text messages we may send include:
- Account activation and tenant portal access
- Rent invoice reminders and payment confirmations
- Maintenance request status updates and vendor coordination
- Account, security, and lease-related notifications
Message frequency varies based on your tenancy activity (typically 2 to 8 messages per month). Standard message and data rates may apply through your wireless carrier. The Mindful Landlord does not charge for sending or receiving SMS.
How tenants opt in to SMS
You can consent to receive text messages from TML in any of three ways:
- By signing the SMS consent section of your lease at lease signing
- By checking the SMS consent box when you set up your tenant portal account at app.the-mindful-landlord.com
- By providing verbal consent during your move-in or onboarding call — you will receive a confirmation SMS that must be acknowledged before any further messages are sent
Consent to receive SMS is not a condition of your lease or any payment.
Your privacy
Mobile information, including your phone number and SMS opt-in data, will not be sold or shared with any third party for promotional or marketing purposes. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
How to opt out
You can opt out of SMS at any time by replying STOP, CANCEL, END, QUIT, or UNSUBSCRIBE to any message you receive from us. You will receive a confirmation message and no further texts. Opting out of SMS does not affect your lease — we will continue to reach you by email, mail, or phone for required communications. Reply HELP to any message for support, or email help@the-mindful-landlord.com.
